Online Support - Would you like support from other survivors of partner rape who know what you're going through?
Messageboard & Chat: This is an external link to Pandora's Aquarium, a forum for male and female survivors of rape and sexual assault. I am a moderator there. There are many survivors of partner rape there plus a forum for abusive relationships in which you can get support for any stage of your process, whether you're still in the relationship or not.
For safety reasons, you must be 16 years old to join Pandora's Aquarium.
If you are a young teenager, please see this page and this page for resources.
Crisis lines for young people can also be found here.
Click here to see what you'll find at Pandy's. Here, also, is a page specifically for partner rape survivors
Please note that you must register before posting - click here for registration instructions.
Re Chat: We Have a safely moderated chatroom. Note: You need to make five posts on the board before using the chatroom. You might like to make your first post in the introduction forum, where you'll be made very welcome.
Was I Raped? - Because of social messages about what is "real rape", this is a something many survivors of IPSV are confused by.
IPSV and Heightened Fatality Risk: : Battered women experiencing rape are more likely to be killed by their partners than women being battered only.
Essential for professionals to be aware of and respond adequately to.
Webcasts to View: This is an external link to the awesome trauma website, Gift From Within. On this page you will be able to view some really useful webcasts on trauma, abuse, healing, therapy and other by Trauma expert Dr. Frank Ochberg. They are easy to listen to and immensely compassionate. I have included this link in my menu because I think these webcasts are essential viewing for survivors. You'll be able to pick the ones that grab your interest.
